- Lead the finance function for transactional banking activities, ensuring accurate reporting and effective financial control.
- Manage financial performance reporting, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, pricing analysis, and trend reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Oversee reconciliations, settlements, refunds, write-offs, suspense accounts, and related transactional accounting processes.
- Ensure robust financial governance, internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Partner with product, technology, operations, risk, compliance, legal, and commercial teams to support business initiatives.
- Support new product launches, system implementations, and process enhancements by assessing financial and control impacts.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, business cases, and scenario analyses.
- Identify financial and operational risks and drive corrective actions where required.
- Enhance management reporting, dashboards, performance metrics, and decision-support analytics.
- Lead, mentor, and support finance team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Science, or related field.
- CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous.
- 5-8 years' experience in finance, financial management, management accounting, or financial reporting within financial services.
- Strong understanding of transactional banking, payments, settlements, reconciliations, and financial control environments.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, governance, risk management, and audit processes.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
