Start free — we apply for you →The purpose of the role: The Finance Director is a key member of the Executive Management Team (EMT) and strategic partner to the Managing Director, accountable for the full financial stewardship, governance, risk management and commercial performance. Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering • Financial Management & Performance delivery • Governance, Risk & Compliance • Credit Control, Treasury & Cash Management • Digital Finance & Data Enablement • Corporate Services Leadership • Stakeholder Engagement • People Leadership & Organisation Development Requirements:
- BCom Accounting Honours or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA) (essential)
- 5+ years progressive financial leadership experience
- Proven P&L ownership and executive-level business partnering
- Proven strong report writing/ development capability
- Experience within a multinational, distribution or industrial environment preferred
- Strong IFRS, SA GAAP, UK GAAP, tax and governance expertise
- Deep experience in statutory reporting, audits, compliance and risk management
- Track record in cost optimisation, working capital improvement and operational excellence
- Experience leading Finance, Corporate Services and Compliance functions
- Experience collaborating with or overseeing IT, Data and Business Intelligence teams
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, SAP4 Hana, Business Objects and BI tool proficiency advantageous
- Strong systems and process design capability
- Excellent numerical, analytical and reporting expertise
- Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure and within global structures
