Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst: Statutory & Group Reporting , to join the Finance team at CCBA: South Africa.

Key Purpose

The Finance Analyst: Statutory & Group Reporting is the guardian of financial integrity, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and trusted insights that keep the business moving forward.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to

Accurate Statutory Submissions for Group Entities

Categorise transactions for larger entities, analyse identified GL accounts and input the transactional analyses onto the statutory reporting platform for review and sign off, as part of the monthly submission of financial statements to Group Office.

Precise Income Tax Provisioning and GL Close Support

Calculate income tax provisions during month-end close, ensuring the correct reflection of liabilities in the general ledger.

Effective Lease Accounting Implementation

Review lease evaluations, approve lease journals and ensure accurate GL postings per IFRS 16 and internal guidelines.

Resolution of Intercompany Mismatches

Investigate and resolve mismatches on the statutory reporting platform to ensure proper intercompany reconciliation across entities.

Support for Financial Statement Preparation

Draft and review technical notes and trial balances for annual financial statements, contributing to the completeness, accuracy and audit readiness of disclosures ensuring full compliance with IFRS, Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.

Robust Governance and Risk Control

Support RACM compliance by implementing controls, conducting quarterly self-assessments and participating in internal audit and CAD requests. Provide input into the update of Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) narratives relating to statutory reporting to ensure alignment to business context.

Timely and Accurate Budgetary Inputs

Provide input and validations for statutory budget submissions, ensuring financial alignment across group entities.

Process Improvement and Stakeholder Support

Identify opportunities for statutory process improvement and provide ongoing training and guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

BCom (Hons) in Accounting or Financial Management (required)

Chartered Accountant of South Africa - CA(SA) (required)

Experience

4-5 years post-qualification in financial management roles, including statutory reporting

Experience in financial statement preparation and working with large enterprise structures (advantageous)

Exposure to lease accounting, tax provisions, and intercompany reconciliation processes

Skills

Deep understanding of group reporting, consolidation and preparation of statutory financial statements.

Deep understanding of IFRS, including lease accounting, tax provisions, and financial statement disclosures.

Ability to identify anomalies in financial data, investigate root causes and propose corrective actions.

Familiarity with internal controls frameworks (RACM), audit processes and risk mitigation strategies.

High level of precision in transaction reviews, reconciliations and statutory reporting processes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with both internal teams (e.g., Tax, Procurement) and external auditors.

Proactive in identifying reporting inefficiencies and contributing to process redesign initiatives.

Proven ability to manage workloads and meet tight month-end, quarter-end, and year-end deadlines.
