Do you have a minimum of 1 year experience installing and configuring CCTV surveillance camera systems?
Our trusted client in Stellenbosch has an entry level position available for a motivated person who enjoys a practical, hands-on role. This requires a strong technical understanding, excellent customer service skills and no fear of heights or confined spaces.
Fluency in Afrikaans and English is essential. Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements
- Some experience installing and configuring IP and analog CCTV systems
- Understanding of Wi-Fi setups, IP addressing, port forwarding and basic router configurations
- Proficiency with hand/power tools, cabling, crimping and conduit installation
- Excellent communication skills with a professional, customer-first attitude
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (company vehicle may be provided)
- Ability to work independently at various residential and commercial sites
Responsibilities
- Mount, wire, and position CCTV cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and power supplies neatly and securely
- Configure internet, Wi-Fi routers, access points, and switches to ensure seamless remote viewing capabilities for clients
- Test all installed systems and train clients on how to use monitoring software and mobile applications
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, cabling, or network connectivity issues efficiently
- Evaluate client premises to recommend optimal camera placement and networking setups
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
