We are looking for Field Technician to join our technical team
This is a full-time, and field-based position responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of Cash deposit safes and related cash management equipment at customer locations
The successful candidate will receive guidance and training while developing their technical skills and gaining practical field-service experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing cash deposit safes and related equipment
Assisting with the diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and basic software-related faults
Performing preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
Attending customer sites to resolve service requests and technical faults
Providing professional and courteous service to customers
Explaining completed work and providing basic user guidance where required
Completing accurate service reports and documenting work performed
Following company health, safety, quality, and technical procedures
Escalating complex technical or software issues to senior technicians or relevant support teams
Working closely with technical support and other internal teams to ensure timely resolution of service requests
Travelling to customer locations within the region as required
Desired Experience & Qualification
Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or technical systems
Strong interest in developing a career in technical service and field maintenance
Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
Good problem-solving and practical skills
Ability to use basic hand and electrical tools
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently while also taking direction and learning from senior technicians
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
Good computer literacy and ability to learn basic technical software and systems
Relevant technical qualification, trade-related training, N6, NQF qualification, or certification in electronics, electrical, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field will be advantageous
Previous field-service or technical experience will be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate
Hands-on and technically minded
Interested in electronics, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and technology
A practical problem solver
Willing to learn and develop their technical abilities
Comfortable working at customer sites
Professional and customer focused
Reliable, punctual, and well organised
Able to work independently after receiving the necessary training and support
A valid driver’s licence and a reliable, roadworthy own vehicle are essential requirements for this position
The Field Technician will be required to travel independently to customer sites to attend service calls, installations, maintenance, and technical support requests
Candidates must therefore have

The ability to manage their daily field-service schedule responsibly
