Please note that this appointment will be made in line with company’s employment equity policy and divisional employment equity targets Job Purpos: The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality technical services and ensure that all equipment meets compliance standards while maintaining patient safety. The Service Technician will support customers both internally and externally by delivering timely and professional maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of dialysis machines and other capital equipment. The role requires a proactive approach to managing service calls, maintaining equipment databases, and fostering strong customer relationships. Key Job outputs: Field Service and Repair Perform on-site service, repairs, and preventative maintenance for dialysis machines, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance. Complete installations, conduct technical assessments, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment faults in alignment with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards. Customer Training and Support Provide user training and technical support to healthcare professionals to ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, contributing to maximum uptime and patient safety. Act as a technical resource for in-house support teams, providing guidance and expertise on complex equipment issues. Documentation and Inventory Management Accurately complete job cards, documenting service details, parts used, and any required follow-ups to maintain accurate service records. Monitor, manage, and report inventory levels, ensuring essential parts and tools are readily available. Compliance and Quality Standards Ensure all work adheres to regulatory and quality standards, presenting completed projects, reports, and documentation on time. Support internal quality initiatives, adhering to safety, compliance, and quality assurance processes. Project and Workflow Management Take the lead on service projects, from planning through execution, maintaining a high standard of quality control. Coordinate effectively to meet deadlines, collaborating with colleagues and providing technical insights on relevant projects.
