Field Sales Engineer - East Rand, Johannesburg Are you a technical sales professional with experience selling into Sasol, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial markets? This could be your next career move. Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is a globally recognised engineering organisation specialising in heat transfer, separation, and fluid-handling technologies. With a strong presence across energy, environmental, food processing, marine, mining, and industrial sectors, the company is renowned for innovation, technical excellence, and delivering sustainable solutions that improve customer productivity and operational performance.
Drive aftermarket sales by promoting spare parts, service offerings, upgrades, and maintenance contracts within assigned territories. Manage key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, increase market share, and support customers through the full sales cycle. Work closely with technical and service teams, provide accurate sales forecasts, and ensure exceptional customer service while growing the installed customer base.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering)
- Proven sales experience within industrial equipment, fluid handling, pumps, valves, heat transfer, process engineering, or related sectors.
- Experience selling spare parts, service contracts, maintenance solutions, or aftermarket products.
- Exposure to Mining, Power Generation, Steel, Paper, Water Treatment, Manufacturing, or Process Industries.
- Strong customer relationship management, business development, forecasting, and technical sales abilities.
