- The Field Sales Agent is responsible for generating new business, promoting non-life insurance products as well as providing professional insurance advice to prospective and existing clients. The role involves prospecting, conducting client needs analyses, generating quotations, closing sales, and maintaining long-term customer relationships while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
Job Outputs
Sales Generation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and Employer group interactions.
- Conduct face-to-face client meetings and presentations.
- Generate and convert qualified leads into policy sales.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales and premium targets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Client Needs Analysis
- Assess clients' insurance needs and risk exposures.
- Recommend appropriate non-life insurance solutions based on client requirements.
- Explain policy benefits, exclusions, excesses, and terms and conditions.
Quotation and Policy Administration
- Prepare and present accurate insurance quotations.
- Assist clients with completing application forms and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all information submitted is accurate and complete.
- Facilitate policy issuance and onboarding of new clients.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Conduct regular follow-up visits and policy reviews.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional insurance products.
- Address customer queries and service requests efficiently by referring queries to customer service.
- Attend all interactions with EP in Gauteng, whether Wellness days, training, activations, meetings, presentations etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with key Employer Partner stakeholders and employees in collaboration with the KAC.
- Make and attend personal meetings with prospects at EP's.
Register Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with FAIS, POPIA, FICA, TCF, and all applicable insurance regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities, Record of advice, recordings of all conversations, Needs analysis, Quote schedules, notes on all conversations with customers
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Provide feedback on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Participate in sales campaigns, promotions, and community engagement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate Matric/Grade 12 - Essential
- FSCA Recognized qualification- Essential
- Regulatory Examination 5 RE 5 – Essential
Required Experience
- 2-3 years' experience in direct client sales
- 2-3 years' experience in non-life short term insurance experience
- 2-3 years' experience face-to-face customer engagement
