Immediate Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Valid Code 14 / EC Driver’s Licence
- Valid PrDP
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience operating 3- and 4-axle delivery/feeder trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience in FMCG environments advantageous
- Good knowledge of vehicle safety and daily inspections
- Clean criminal record
- Medically fit
- Reliable and safety-conscious
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 3- and 4-axle delivery/feeder trucks to transport FMCG products between warehouses, distribution centres and customer locations.
- Safely operate the feeder truck according to site procedures
- Transport and feed materials to designated areas
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report defects
- Load, transport and discharge materials safely
- Follow site traffic rules and health & safety procedures
- Maintain accurate trip and operational records
- Perform basic housekeeping around the vehicle
- Report breakdowns, hazards and incidents immediately
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good operating condition
