- Agricultural Diploma / Degree advantageous
- Min of 5 – 10 years previous farm management experience
Experience in the following
- Cropping all aspects – lucerne, maize and butternut
- Game farming
- Cattle farming – Brahman cattle experience advantageous
- Irrigation management – centre pivots & drip irrigation
- Maintenance orientated – electrical systems & mechanical maintenance.
- Strong management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate tractors and all farm related equipment.
- Valid driver's licence
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Overall management, maintenance and development of the game farm, as well as the effective management of the hunting and lodge operations.
- Operational management and further development of the irrigation farming operations
- Management of existing cattle herds and general livestock operations
- Responsible for recruiting and building his own workforce on the irrigation farm.
