The incumbent will be responsible for
- Lecturing and associated tasks in Auditing at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level;
- Academic administration and management;
- Supervising postgraduate students provided the incumbent holds a Master's degree;
- Scientific research and publications in accredited academic journals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- CASA qualification; OR
- Master's degree in the Auditing field that includes a research component;
- Relevant tertiary lecturing experience or at least 3 years of practical industry experience.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES
- Appropriate language and communication skills, demonstrated by the capacity to articulate ideas clearly and the confidence in one's ability to communicate them by making complicated concepts understandable;
- Knowledge of foundational theories, concepts in the subject area;
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including teaching, research, and administrative duties, effectively;
- Skills to prioritise tasks and deadlines in a busy academic environment;
- Demonstrating respect for students, colleagues, and ideas from diverse cultural, social, and academic backgrounds;
- Proficiency in digital literacy and seamless integration of technology in teaching and research activities;
- Lifelong learner;
- Being a team player, dependable, meticulous, punctual, and accountable for tasks and responsibilities; and
- Ability to understand and address the needs and concerns of students, fostering a supportive learning environment.

- Experience in lecturing to and managing large student groups;
- Experience in blended learning practices;
- Exposure to the guidance of postgraduate students' research;
- Involvement in research activities;
- The potential to develop into a scholar in the discipline;
- Experience in an IT audit environment;
- Involvement in professional activities where applicable;
- Candidates should demonstrate the potential and willingness to obtain a master's and/or doctoral qualification within a reasonable period after the date of appointment.
