Introduction

We are looking for a firm, disciplined, and proactive  Factory Supervisor  to lead our floor team in our aluminium door manufacturing facility. Working directly alongside the Factory Manager, your primary responsibility will be directing people, managing floor discipline, and keeping production running on schedule.

This role focuses heavily on  people management, workflow efficiency, and team accountability . You do not need to be a master technician or machine operator; instead, you must be a strong leader who understands how a factory operates, knows how to get the best out of a 15-person team, and can keep the aluminium door production line moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & People Management

Supervise, motivate, and direct a team of approximately 15 factory floor workers across the aluminium door production lines.

Drive daily productivity, setting clear output targets for the team and keeping staff focused and on task.

Enforce workplace discipline, attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic across the floor.

Handle basic team dynamics, resolve floor-level disputes, and report personnel issues to the Factory Manager.

2. Workflow & Floor Control

Partner with the Factory Manager to execute daily production schedules and keep work flowing steadily.

Monitor the progress of door assembly jobs from start to finish to ensure orders are completed on time.

Spot workflow bottlenecks early and reallocate labor across different stations to keep the line moving.

Conduct basic visual quality checks on finished aluminium doors to ensure work meets company standards before dispatch.

3. Administration & Computer Systems

Utilize digital systems and software to log daily progress, manage job cards, and track completed door units.

Assist the Factory Manager with basic digital admin, including reporting and material requests.

4. Factory Housekeeping

Maintain high standards of factory floor organisation and cleanliness (5S / clean-as-you-go).

Create and maintain a staff discipline on a daily basis

Experience & Key Personal Attributes

Experience

Factory Experience:  Minimum 3 - 5 years of proven experience working on a factory floor, with a focus on supervising and overseeing staff.

Industry Context:  Direct experience in a factory setting—preferably within  aluminium door & window production / kitchen & joinery production  — understanding general assembly lines and factory floor dynamics.

Leadership Capabilities:  Demonstrated experience managing a team of 10–15 workers.

Computer Literacy:  Proficient in basic computer skills and comfortable learning factory tracking software.

Transport:  Must possess a valid driver’s license and  own reliable personal transport .

Key Personal Attributes

Strong Discipline:  A firm, fair leader who leads by example and holds staff accountable to standards and timelines.

High Initiative:  Proactive; notices when a station is lagging behind and takes quick action to support the manager without needing to be asked.

People-Centric Leadership:  Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct, guide, and manage diverse personalities on a production floor.

Organized & Goal-Oriented:  Focused on hitting daily unit targets and keeping the floor structured and efficient.

Remuneration

This role is a monthly Salary of btw R18 - R22k p/m depening on previous experience in a similar role. Further to this we offer a Quarterly & yearly target incentive program that involves an additional 1.7 months worth of additional Salary within the year.
