Introduction

We are looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on Factory Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our factory. The successful candidate will report directly to the Factory Manager, work closely with all departments, and be a strong team player.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct and maintain monthly stock takes and accurate stock records.
  • Monitor raw materials, trims, finished goods and production consumables; identify shortages.
  • Purchase and replenish trims and other production-related consumables and follow up with suppliers.
  • Check and record all goods received against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Maintain administration and documentation for goods dispatched and materials issued to the factory.
  • Assist with stock reconciliations between goods received, production and dispatch.
  • Handle general HR administration, including employee files, attendance, absenteeism, leave and staff records.
  • Maintain training, disciplinary, audit and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain production paperwork, job cards, production requirements and related factory records.
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation and liaise with Stores, Cutting, Production, QC and Dispatch.
  • Assist the Factory Manager with reports, filing and general factory administration.

Desired Experience & Qualification

REQUIREMENTS

  • Mature candidate with substantial industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the clothing and textile environment.
  • Technical knowledge of garment construction, patterns and garment specifications will be a significant advantage.
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills, with confidence working with stock figures and reconciliations.
  • Highly organised, accurate and able to manage several responsibilities at the same time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and able to work well with different departments and personalities.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, follow up on outstanding matters and meet deadlines.
  • Trustworthy, dependable and able to handle confidential information.
  • Positive attitude and strong team-player mindset.
  • Own vehicle will be an advantage.

Salary: R13,000 - R15,000 per month, dependent on experience
