The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, managing staff and optimising overall factory performance. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing, production and people-management experience , with exposure to aluminium, wood, furniture, cabinetry, shopfitting or a related manufacturing environment being advantageous. Detail: Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and performance of the factory. Plan, coordinate and monitor production activities to meet deadlines and targets. Manage and motivate production, technical and factory staff. Monitor production efficiency, productivity, quality and wastage. Ensure materials, equipment and resources are effectively utilised. Implement and maintain quality control and production standards. Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventative actions. Coordinate with procurement, sales, design and project teams to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor machinery, equipment and preventative maintenance requirements. Ensure compliance with health, safety and company procedures. Prepare production reports and provide management with regular operational updates. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Relevant qualification in Production Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field will be advantageous. Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a factory, production or manufacturing management role . Experience managing production teams and manufacturing processes. Strong understanding of production planning, stock control and quality management. Experience in aluminium, woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, shopfitting or related manufacturing will be advantageous. Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel. Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
