Extrusion Operator

At Montego, our Extrusion Operator keeps the heart of the production process running efficiently. From batching and start-up to extrusion, drying and coating, your decisions help ensure that every product consistently meets the required quality specifications. What will you be doing: Completing shift handovers and communicating the production schedule to the team. Monitoring raw-material availability and the efficiency of the batching process. Preparing the extruder for start-up and confirming that the correct die plates are used. Monitoring machine temperature, speed, feed rate and product quality. Measuring kibble size and density and accurately recording process parameters. Adjusting settings to keep products within specification. Monitoring moisture, water activity, drying, cooling and coating processes. Responding to system alarms and escalating unresolved technical issues. Performing minor repairs and supporting scheduled maintenance. Maintaining hygiene, housekeeping, food-safety and OHS standards.
