External Sales Representative (Junior)

Introduction

We're looking for a self-driven, road-ready junior sales representative to own our client relationships and grow our footprint across Western Cape. You'll spend your days on the road — visiting existing customers, opening new accounts, and becoming the face of our brand in your region. This is a hunter's role: existing client’s matter, but new business is where you'll make your mark.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Calling on and maintaining relationships with our existing client base across Western Cape — panel shops, resellers, applicators and more.

• Actively prospecting and opening new clientele — this is the heart of the role and the main measure of your success.

• Building and managing a healthy pipeline of new business, with regular reporting back to the Sales Manager.

• Representing the company at client visits, trade events, and industry gatherings in your region.

• Keeping an eye out for opportunities as we expand into architectural, decorative, industrial, and wood coatings — a growing part of our future product range.

• Managing your own call cycle and travel planning to maximise coverage of your territory.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Your own reliable, roadworthy vehicle — non-negotiable, as this is a field-based role.

• A valid South African driver's licence.

• A hunter mentality — you're comfortable cold-calling, prospecting, and chasing new business.

• Strong communication and people skills, and the confidence to represent a manufacturing brand out in the field.

• Self-motivation and the ability to manage your own diary with minimal supervision.

• Sales experience in paint, coatings, hardware, or building materials is a bonus — but not essential. We'll back the right attitude.

Package & Remuneration

• A total gross package of R18,000 per month, made up of a basic salary plus a car allowance to help cover your vehicle running costs.

• A separate company fuel card for business travel, on top of your package.

• PAYE and UIF are deducted and administered in line with SARS requirements — a clear, compliant payslip every month.
