- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the material handling and warehouse equipment market
- Generate leads, prospect for new customers and build a strong sales pipeline
- Manage and grow an existing customer base
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Understand customers' operational requirements and recommend appropriate material handling solutions
- Conduct customer site visits and assess equipment requirements
- Prepare quotations, proposals and pricing for customers
- Present and demonstrate equipment and solutions to prospective customers
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved parameters
- Follow up on quotations and actively drive opportunities through to close
- Maintain regular contact with customers and identify opportunities for additional business
- Work closely with internal operations, service and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing and developments within the market
- Provide management with regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates and market feedback
- Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years' sales experience , preferably within the material handling industry
- Direct experience selling material handling, forklift, warehouse equipment or related solutions is essential
- Strong business development and new-business generation experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Good understanding of warehouse and logistics operations
