Job Title: External Sales Engineer Start Date: 2026-08-15 - 2026-09-13 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB004002 Sectors: Manufacturing Location: Gauteng , Johannesburg Salary: R 720000 - R 960000 Annually Cost To Company (Market related, Negotiable) Brief: degree|diploma|driver's license|generator sales|internal sales engineer|johannesburg east|medical aid|perm|provident fund|quotations|sales and marketing|sales pipelines Background: Our Client who is in the generator and diesel industry is looking for a strong Sales Engineer to bring in new business Detail: Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years sales generator experience essential Knowledge of dealer network in generator or solar industry Matric or formal electrical qualification – A recognized Electrical Trade will be advantageous Electrical Diploma or N3 qualification will be advantageous Understanding how MV installations work is advantageous Proficient on MS Office Suite Valid driver’s license Responsibilities: Sales of power kits Direct selling to customers and generate new sales leads New sales include: - Generators, generator diesel services, repair/refurbishment services, generator technical services (upgrades) and parts Visit assigned customers according to planned calling schedules Prepare budgets, estimated potential and planned profitability per customer Promote the sales of generators to existing Customers and research new market opportunities Obtain enquiries, prepare quotations and follow up to conclusion Submit monthly sales report Maintain an updated customer data base Obtain information on competitors’ products, pricing policies and business strategies Assist with technical queries Assist with product launches, technical presentations and trade shows Attend regular sales and projects meetings TO APPLY: Only if you meet the minimum job requirements and experience as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
