Explosives Operator

Load and unload the MMU safely and accurately by securing the loading area, verifying material specifications, and inspecting the unit for proper functionality. Use appropriate tools and equipment, monitoring material quantities, and following established procedures. Assist with stock control by using the inventory system to label, categorise, and track stock levels; support receiving stock, entering it into the system, ensuring correct storage, performing stock checks, and reporting any discrepancies to the Site Supervisor. Take responsibility for the MMU through regular cleaning and inspection, conducting and reporting basic repairs and maintenance, checking fluid levels, cleaning filters, verifying safety features and electrical systems, calibrating measurement devices, and carrying out monthly or as-needed alignment checks. Maintain the work area and site by cleaning and decontaminating raw material spills, ensuring proper waste disposal, identifying potential hazards or abnormal conditions, and promptly reporting them to the relevant supervisor.
