Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Executive Strategic Advisor Start Date: 2026-07-10 - 2026-08-09 Vacancy Type: Contractor JNB008100 Sectors: Business Services Location: Gauteng , JHB - Central Salary: Brief: Role Purpose: Provide strategic card and payments industry expertise to support the successful delivery of Project Card across card finance, reconciliation, merchant and scheme processing, settlement, revenue assurance, and operational control structures Leverage extensive industry and scheme experience to guide project direction, challenge design and processing assumptions, identify material risks and gaps, and ensure alignment to leading card and payments practices throughout the programme lifecycle Detail: Key Accountability Areas: Strategic Industry Advisory: Provide executive-level guidance across card, payments, acquiring, settlement, scheme, and finance-impacting operational structures to support informed project and architecture decisions Financial Integrity and Revenue Assurance: Support the establishment of trusted, accurate, and auditable card finance, reconciliation, billing, settlement, interchange, NIR, and revenue share outcomes across Project Card Solution Oversight and Control Assurance: Challenge and guide solution direction to ensure appropriate controls, reconciliation integrity, operational accuracy, and alignment between finance, processing, and reporting outcomes Risk Identification and Remediation Guidance: Identify material risks, control weaknesses, processing gaps, reconciliation exposures, and industry misalignment, with recommendations for corrective action and sustainable remediation Executive Enablement and Knowledge Transfer: Provide specialist guidance and industry insight to executive stakeholders, architecture, finance, data, and delivery teams to strengthen decision-making capability and long-term operational maturity Expected Outcomes: Increased executive confidence in Project Card financial and operational integrity Improved accuracy and reconciliation confidence across card-related finance and reporting structures Reduced exposure to billing, settlement, revenue assurance, and control-related risk Alignment of Project Card outcomes to industry-standard card and payments practices Successful progression of Project Card toward a scalable, trusted, and operationally sound target-state capability show more...
