Executive Personal Assistant to the CEO | Johannesburg | Permanent

Support a high-performing CEO at the centre of a fast-moving, growth-focused business where discretion, organisation and commercial awareness are essential. This is an opportunity for an experienced executive support professional who can anticipate priorities, manage complexity and keep the Office of the CEO operating effectively.

The Executive Personal Assistant to the CEO will provide high-level executive, administrative and coordination support across the CEO’s diary, communications, meetings, travel, stakeholder engagement and strategic priorities. The role requires someone who is highly organised and proactive, with the judgement and confidence to engage professionally with executives, employees, suppliers, partners, regulators and other senior stakeholders.

You will also play an important role in ensuring that executive commitments are followed through, actions are tracked, meetings are well prepared and information reaches the right people at the right time. The successful candidate will be comfortable working at pace, managing competing priorities and handling confidential information with a high degree of discretion.

What You'll Do

Provide high-level executive and administrative support directly to the CEO

Manage a complex and frequently changing CEO diary, appointments and commitments

Coordinate internal and external meetings involving executives, board members, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders

Prepare agendas, meeting packs, presentations, briefing notes, reports and executive summaries

Manage incoming correspondence, emails, calls and requests, prioritising matters appropriately

Ensure the CEO is fully prepared for meetings, presentations, board engagements and external commitments

Record meeting minutes, track action items and follow up on outstanding commitments

Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, transfers, visas, itineraries and travel packs

Coordinate conferences, industry events, corporate events and other executive engagements

Act as a professional liaison between the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, internal departments and external stakeholders

Maintain confidential records, contracts, governance documents and executive information

Assist with board packs, governance administration and executive reporting

Coordinate executive expenses, purchase requests, invoices and related administration

Support strategic projects and executive initiatives by tracking milestones, deliverables, risks and actions

Coordinate cross-functional activities on behalf of the CEO and ensure agreed priorities are followed through

Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and the overall efficiency of the Office of the CEO

Maintain a highly organised, professional and responsive executive office environment

What You Bring

5–7 years of relevant experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Executive Coordinator or Office Manager supporting C-Suite leadership

Demonstrable experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director, Founder, Executive Leadership Team or equivalent senior executive

Strong experience managing complex executive diaries and multiple competing priorities

Experience preparing executive reports, presentations, board packs, meeting documentation and briefing materials

Strong stakeholder engagement and professional communication skills

Experience coordinating domestic and international executive travel

Proven ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and/or Google Workspace

Experience with calendar management, document management and executive coordination systems

Strong minute-taking, action tracking and executive reporting capability

A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Communications, Project Management or a related field would be advantageous

Experience in betting and gaming, technology, fintech, financial services, telecommunications, media, retail or e-commerce would be advantageous

Exposure to board governance, project coordination or PMO environments would be advantageous

The CEO can rely on the successful candidate to anticipate needs, solve problems and take ownership without constant direction
