We are recruiting on behalf of an established, multi-divisional business group based in Durban CBD, with a diverse portfolio built up over several decades.
Our client is seeking a highly organized, professional, and dedicated Executive Assistant
(EA) to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Executive.
The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for all matters relating
to the Executive’s office, requiring exceptional multitasking abilities, and a high degree of
loyalty and confidentiality.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Executive Office Management
- Calendar Oversight: Manage the Executive’s professional and personal diary, ensuring efficient scheduling of meetings.
- Gatekeeping: Screen and prioritize all incoming calls, emails, and visitors, ensuring the Executive’s time is focused on high-priority business initiatives.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize meetings and site visits. Prepare agendas, take minutes, and ensure action items are tracked and completed by relevant department heads.
2. Local Liaison & Stakeholder Relations
- Primary Contact: Act as the face of the Executive’s office for staff and contractors.
- Corporate Communication: Draft and manage professional correspondence, including letters to local authorities, municipal bodies and business forums.
- Internal Liaison: Coordinate communication between the Executive and the various business units within the S Dass Group to ensure operational alignment.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain a highly organized digital and physical filing system for the Group’s documents, contracts, and property records.
- Prepare high-quality reports for the Executive ahead of business meetings.
- Assist in compiling documentation for compliance, licensing and regulatory requirements.
4. Logistics & Event Coordination
- Coordinate local and international travel, including vehicle arrangements and regional flights.
- Organize corporate and personal events.
- Handle personal errands and administrative tasks for the Executive as required to ensure his maximum productivity
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant to a Director or Business Owner.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or a recognized Diploma in Office Administration/Business Management is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and AI tools.

- Discretion: Absolute integrity and the ability to handle highly confidential company information.
- Communication: Flawless command of English (written and verbal).
- Work Ethic: A "can-do" attitude with the flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard hours if business needs dictate.
- Professionalism: A polished and sophisticated demeanor appropriate for representing the Head of the Group.
