- A leading organisation within the logistics and supply chain sector, based in Midrand Gauteng, is seeking an experienced, highly organised and commercially astute Executive Assistant to the CEO to provide high-level executive support within a complex and fast-paced business environment.
- This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant who is looking to move beyond traditional administrative support and become a key partner to a senior executive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful incumbent will be responsible for
- Managing and prioritising the CEO's diary, commitments and competing demands.
- Coordinating and preparing for Executive, Board, shareholder, customer and strategic meetings.
- Preparing meeting packs, presentations, briefing information and action registers.
- Ensuring key decisions, actions and commitments are followed through to completion.
- Coordinating domestic and international executive travel and associated logistics.
- Managing correspondence and communication on behalf of the CEO.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing support on strategic, confidential and business-critical projects.
- Coordinating executive events, conferences, customer engagements and leadership sessions.
- Handling highly confidential and commercially sensitive information with absolute discretion.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Matric essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent executive support experience.
- 8-10 years' experience supporting C-suite executives
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting a CEO, MD, Executive Director or similar senior executive.
- Experience within a complex corporate environment.
- Exposure to Board, Exco and/or shareholder-level engagements.
- Strong experience managing domestic and international travel.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong organisational, coordination and project management abilities.
- Experience within logistics, FMCG, supply chain or another complex operational environment would be advantageous.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- We are looking for someone who is proactive, highly organised, commercially aware and confident working at senior executive level .
- The successful candidate will have the maturity and judgement to anticipate requirements, manage sensitive information, challenge priorities when necessary and ensure that important matters do not fall through the cracks.
- This is not a traditional PA role . It is a senior executive support position requiring someone who can operate independently, engage confidently with senior stakeholders and make a meaningful contribution to the effectiveness of the CEO's office.
