About the role

  • This is an opportunity to work at the heart of the business, supporting a senior executive in delivering on key priorities and business objectives. As a Personal Assistant, you will ensure the seamless coordination of meetings, stakeholder interactions, travel, and day-to-day operations, enabling the executive to focus on leading the business.

You will be instrumental in creating efficiency, maintaining momentum, and ensuring that executive priorities are executed effectively.

What you bring

  • Degree or Diploma in Office Management, Business Administration or a related field essential.
  • +6 years' progressive executive support experience, including exposure to Board and Committee environments or similar roles essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and/or Board portals, with strong data handling capability essential.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or complex multidivisional organisation desired.
  • Familiar with South African corporate governance standards e.g. King IV and board protocols desired.

What you'll do

  • Manage the executive's diary, meetings, travel arrangements, and day-to-day priorities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordinate executive, board, and governance-related meetings, including the preparation of high-quality agendas, board packs, briefing notes, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage correspondence, communications, and stakeholder engagement on behalf of the executive, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and timely follow-up.
  • Track decisions, actions, and key commitments, driving execution and ensuring accountability across stakeholders.
  • Provide confidential personal and professional administrative support, ensuring the effective coordination of all commitments and priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while supporting key engagements and relationship-management activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Uphold the highest standards of discretion, professionalism, and governance in the handling of sensitive information and executive matters.
