• Work side-by-side with the Executive for significant portions of the working day, acting as a practical body double and second set of eyes, ears and memory. • Observe the Executive's workflow, meetings, conversations and priorities; capture actions, commitments, dependencies and outstanding matters without requiring every task to be formally assigned. • Learn to recognize when the Executive is in focused workflow and avoid unnecessary interruption, while knowing when to raise an issue, ask a question or provide input. • Quality-check documents and information in real time, identify obvious gaps, inconsistencies, missing information or follow-up requirements, and bring these to the Executive's attention. • Track the Executive's timeline and document preparation for Compliance and BBBEE-related deliverables. • Be comfortable providing constructive input when asked, including questions such as: "What are you seeing that I am not seeing?", "Have I missed anything?", "What is still outstanding?" and "What needs to happen next?" • Manage and prioritiz e the Executive's daily and weekly action list, deadlines, commitments and outstanding matters. • Proactively follow up with employees, managers, consultants and other stakeholders; escalate overdue or critical matters when required. • Prepare meeting agendas, action lists and follow-up notes; maintain practical systems and trackers; and assist with routine coordination, ad-hoc projects, problem-solving and other operational matters. • Take ownership of administrative and coordination matters that do not require the Executive's specific expertise and direct matters to the correct person rather than allowing everything to land with the Executive. Success in the role means fewer outstanding or unfollowed-up actions, improved completion of deadlines and submissions, better visibility of priorities and dependencies, fewer unnecessary matters reaching the Executive, and improved Executive productivity and focus. The ultimate measure is that the Executive has confidence that: "If it is on the list, it will get done." Requirements:
• 35 years' experience in executive support. • Experience working closely with senior management, a business owner or professional would be advantageous. • Practical exposure to BBBEE is strongly preferred, in any sector. • Practical exposure to Compliance within the Construction Industry is strongly preferred. • Experience with BBBEE initiatives & verification, tender RFIs, evidence collection, compliance or document control would be highly adv
