Position Summary
The Logistics Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and optimizing the movement of materials, equipment and personnel to support project requirements. The role ensures efficient, cost-effective and compliant logistics operations while improving supply chain performance.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics plans and strategies.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor movement of materials, equipment and personnel.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, freight forwarders and service providers.
- Prepare logistics budgets, monitor costs and identify savings opportunities.
- Ensure timely procurement, customs clearance and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
- Identify logistics risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Prepare logistics performance reports and KPIs.
- Support project teams to ensure smooth logistics execution.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in logistics, supply chain or transport management, preferably in EPC, infrastructure or construction.
- Knowledge of international freight, customs regulations and import/export processes.
- Experience in procurement coordination and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/logistics systems advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- South African citizen or permanent resident.
