- Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Environmental Scientist to join their mining company based in KwaZulu-Natal. You will be responsible for managing EIAs and WULs, auditing compliance, and overseeing biodiversity, waste, and water management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permit applications, including EIAs and WULs, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Audit client operations against environmental authorisations and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on biodiversity, waste management, and water management.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans, monitoring programs, and sustainability initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance to clients and junior staff on environmental compliance, best practices, and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree in Environmental Management or equivalent
- 5 years' experience consulting within the mining industry
- Valid Driver's License
