Job Purpose

  • Enterprise Architects partner with business, business analysts, software and infrastructure Engineers to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the ICS ecosystem. They are responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with ICS and the business to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the ecosystem.
  • Responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop roadmaps that outline how solutions will be structured in the future.
  • Develop and implement enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
  • Provide design recommendations based on long-term development organization strategy.
  • Development of infrastructure technology principles, standards, and patterns that can be highly leveraged across multiple solutions.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree NQF Level 7 in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • TOGAF® Certification is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect or a comparable Enterprise Architecture modelling tool.
  • Current experience working as part of an Enterprise Architecture EA team.
  • Sound knowledge of enterprise information security principles, architecture governance, and secure system design.
  • Strong project management, leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • At least three 3 years' relevant experience in:
  • Enterprise Architecture and architecture governance.
  • Software engineering and solution architecture.
  • Designing and implementing ICT and cloud infrastructure architectures.
  • Implementing and supporting Enterprise Architecture practices within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Applying Enterprise Architecture frameworks, standards, best practices, and strategic objectives.

  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
  • Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives.
