Start free — we apply for you →- A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, based at Life Flora Hospital Ward: H, reporting to Odette Vermeulen, Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable Health /Nursing legislation
Critical Outputs
- Patient care – Ensuring quality patient care and client service, conduct basic duties within the scope of practice for Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
- Participate in patients' activities and maintain a sound customer relationship management and risk management
- Good communication skills are a prerequisite
- Recording and reporting – Determining patients' special needs by observing them during activities.
- Reporting any abnormal changes to person in charge.
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment by removing dangerous objects around patients.
- Reporting any potentially hazardous situation to person in charge
- In-service education – Attend and participate in in-service education and engage in ongoing education
- Health education – Assist in disseminating health information by participating in campaigns and community health education programmes initiated by the hospital
- Rehabilitation – To comply with all rehabilitation standards and assist users to independence
Requirements
- Needs to be registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC
- Matric
- Current registration with the relevant professional / regulatory body
- Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
- Computer proficiency would be an advantage
