Engineering Graduate (Mechanical/Electrical) - Industria, Johannesburg

Introduction

A leading manufacturing company based in Industria, Johannesburg is looking to appoint a motivated Engineering Graduate to join its engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is eager to gain practical, hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and maintenance professionals while developing valuable technical and operational skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support the maintenance and production teams with technical problem-solving.

• Participate in equipment inspections, fault investigations, and root cause analysis.

• Assist with preventative maintenance planning and implementation.

• Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering drawings where required.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support production objectives.

• Gain exposure to manufacturing processes, plant equipment, and engineering best practices.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering .

• Recent graduate or 0–2 years' relevant engineering experience.

• Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Exposure to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software will be advantageous.

• Knowledge of maintenance principles and manufacturing processes will be beneficial.

• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
