DUTIES AND DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transfers in
- Monitor Section 14 approvals and the bank account to identify Section 14 receipts.
- When deposits are received, follow up on outstanding data.
- When data is received, reconcile the data to the Section 14 application, member information and payment.
- Query any missing information or discrepancies with the Transferor Fund.
- Conclude allocation accurately and within agreed upon timelines.
- Monitor the ROT01/ROT02 SARS report daily and ensure all allocations receive a successful response.
- Follow up on ROT01/ROT02 failed submissions until concluded.
- Work closely with all relevant parties, e.g. internal and external consultants, participating employers, trustees, principal officers, fund accountants
Transfers out
- Monitor Section 14 approvals.
- When approvals are received, process the transfer out and provide the transferee fund with the required data.
- Assist the transferee fund where necessary with ROT01/ROT02 failed submissions until concluded.
- Work closely with all relevant parties, e.g. internal and external consultants, participating employers, trustees, principal officers, fund accountants
General
- Assist the Accounts team with collating and preparing information on transfers for the annual audit.
- Identify projects that need to be completed and manage/perform these as required.
- Assist other teams where necessary, e.g. reviewing claims or updates, assisting with data anomalies etc
- On an ongoing basis, assess the processes and controls for appropriateness and efficiency.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma/Degree Advantageous
- Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in Employee Benefits
- Previous experience with umbrella fund administration and/or standalone retirement fund administration
- Working knowledge and experience of Everest administration system advantageous
