We are looking to recruit an Employee Benefits Administrator II to work within the Group Compensation & Benefits Services department of Clicks Group Services. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Employee Benefits Specialist. Duties & Responsibilities
Job purpose: To coordinate the delivery of the Group’s retirement and risk benefit programmes. Job objectives:
- To facilitate the Group’s retirement off-boarding process by ensuring that employees reaching normal retirement age receive timeous communication and that employees requesting early retirement have all the information to facilitate discussions with their financial advisors
- To assist with the administrative process when disability members resign or retire
- To support the HR teams with the submission and follow-up of funeral claims
- To coordinate the death-in-service application process by collating the required information and providing support to HR, the Insurer and Fund administrators
- Manage the disability claim application process by ensuring that the relevant documentation is completed accurately and offer support to HR and the Insurer
- Review all Disability reports to ensure minimal comebacks from the insurers and monitor requests for outstanding requirements
- To monitor disability anniversary and review dates and ensure administrative processes are timeously completed
- To assist with preparing input for monthly disability changes and to log the required updates timeously for Payroll records to be amended
- To maintain updated death and disability benefit trackers in a presentable format
- To assist with the pension-backed housing loans process including log Payroll updates
- To ensure that all retirement and related benefit requests are dealt with in accordance with the Group’s Fund policy and relevant Fund Rules including timeous submission of online withdrawal forms
- To ensure that 4Me logs and the Benefits Queries mailbox is attended to daily
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education & Experience
• Matric (Essential). • HR Qualification or related National Diploma (Essential), bachelor’s degree • Minimum 3 years employee benefits experience (Essential). Job related knowledge:
• MS Office with Advanced Excel (Essential). • Must have knowledge of the Pension Funds Act and death benefit distribution (Essential). Job related skills:
• Intermediate Verbal & written communication skills (Essential). • Customer relationship management (Essential). • Attention to detail (Essential). • Ability to empathise (Essential). • Review and analyse documentation (Essential). Competencies:
