Embedded Systems Engineer

Embedded systems design and development role focused on taking embedded products from concept through to volume production, including hardware bring-up, certification and field deployment.

Experience: ·         6–8 years' post-graduate experience in embedded systems design and development. ·         At least 3 years in a senior, lead or architecture capacity. ·         Demonstrable involvement in taking at least two embedded products from concept to volume production. ·         Currently hands-on in embedded C or C++. ·         Not suitable for candidates who have moved fully into management or specification-only work.

Key Requirements ·         Embedded C or C++ hands-on capability. ·         Embedded systems design and development experience. ·         Experience taking at least two embedded products from concept to volume production. ·         Hardware bring-up, certification and field deployment experience. ·         Senior, lead or architecture experience. ·         South African citizenship required; foreign nationals will not be accepted. ·         Valid driver's licence. ·         Clear criminal and credit record; verification required. ·         Willingness to travel occasionally for vehicle testing, supplier and certification engagements. ·         Preference for Employment Equity (EE) candidates. ·         Candidates will undergo a screening call prior to interview. ·         Resumes will be forwarded exclusively to the recruiter, with no direct communication with the hiring manager.
