Start free — we apply for you →We are seeking an experienced and innovative Electronic Systems Engineer to join our engineering team developing advanced electronic systems for the mining industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, integration, testing, and support of electronic and embedded systems used in mining equipment, automation, communication, monitoring, and safety applications. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will contribute to the development of robust, reliable, and field-proven solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and safety in harsh mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain electronic systems for mining applications.
- Develop system architectures incorporating sensors, embedded controllers, communication networks, and power electronics.
- Produce system specifications, schematics, interface documentation, and technical reports.
- Integrate electronic hardware with embedded software, control systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct laboratory and field testing, system validation, and fault diagnosis.
- Support commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting at customer sites when required.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, electrical, and production engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve product reliability and performance issues.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and company quality processes.
- Provide technical support to production, customers, and service teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electronic systems design, integration, or industrial automation.
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
- Experience with embedded systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Knowledge of system integration, testing, and verification.
- Experience using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
