Electronic Engineer â?? Vehicle Systems

Our client is seeking a talented and technically driven Electronic Engineer Vehicle Systems to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, integration and testing of electronic systems for specialised vehicles , working across the full product development lifecycle. This role is ideally suited to an Electronic Engineer with a strong interest in vehicle electronics, embedded systems, control systems and automotive technology , who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and turning requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic systems for specialised and commercial vehicles.
• Develop and integrate vehicle electrical and electronic architectures .
• Design, select and integrate electronic control units, sensors, actuators and communication interfaces.
• Develop and maintain CAN bus and vehicle communication networks .
• Perform electronic circuit design, hardware integration and system-level development.
• Support the development and integration of embedded control systems .
• Generate and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and system documentation.
• Interface with mechanical, electrical, software and systems engineering teams.
• Conduct calculations, simulations and technical analyses to support design decisions.
• Develop and execute verification and validation test procedures .
• Perform troubleshooting, fault finding and root-cause analysis on vehicle electronic systems.
• Support prototype builds, vehicle integration and commissioning.
• Conduct laboratory and vehicle-based testing.
• Investigate technical issues identified during development, production and field operation.
• Assist with component selection, supplier engagement and technical evaluations.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable automotive, electrical, EMC and safety standards .
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, test documentation and technical drawings.
• Provide technical support during production, installation and field implementation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of existing vehicle electronic systems.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• 25 years' relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in vehicle electronics, automotive systems or mobile machinery will be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of electronic hardware and embedded systems.
• Practical experience with CAN bus / CAN protocols and vehicle communication sys
