Introduction

Our client is an international giant, looking for an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to join their team. The person must have experience in electronic product development and proven experience with multilayer PCB design and development . Strong experience in DC-DC power converter design and experience with BMS / battery energy storage systems .

Duties & Responsibilities

Design and develop multilayer PCBs for BMS and power-electronics products.

Design DC-DC power converters and associated power stages.

Develop analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronic circuits .

Design and develop Battery Management System (BMS) hardware , including monitoring, protection and cell balancing.

Perform circuit calculations, component selection, thermal analysis and efficiency optimisation .

Conduct prototype testing, debugging, fault-finding and validation .

Develop and maintain technical documentation and test procedures .

Work closely with firmware, mechanical and electrical engineering teams .

Support products through prototype development into production .

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.

5+ years’ experience in electronic product development.

Proven experience with multilayer PCB design and development .

Strong experience in DC-DC power converter design .

Experience with BMS / battery energy storage systems .

Strong knowledge of analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuit design .

Experience with Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics or PADS .

Knowledge of SMPS, power semiconductors, magnetics, thermal management and EMI/EMC .

Experience with prototype testing, debugging and product validation .

Ability to take products from concept through to production release .

Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power analysers and electronic loads .

Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
