A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Electrician to join its technical team in Durban . This role is suited to someone with a strong maintenance background who is confident working within industrial, warehousing or cold storage environments, ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational. Detail: Key Responsibilities: Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repair solutions Perform preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Test electrical circuits, motors and control systems to verify safe operation Maintain DB boards, lighting systems and facility wiring Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety and quality standards Assist with general plant maintenance and be available for breakdown call-outs when required Minimum Requirements: National Trade Certificate (Electrician) / N6 Electrical or equivalent 7–10 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance Valid Wireman's License (Installation Electrician) Experience working on high-voltage systems up to 11kV and 6.6kV Sound knowledge of SANS 10142 and electrical compliance requirements Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience fault-finding on 220V/400V motors and electrical systems Exposure to VSDs/VFDs and refrigeration plant electrical systems advantageous Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail Computer literate and willing to work overtime or attend emergency call-outs when required Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. show more...
