Detail: Minimum Requirements: Qualified Electrician with a recognized Trade Test Certificate. Minimum 5 years' experience in a production or industrial environment (Abattoir experience highly advantageous). Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding and preventative maintenance. Experience with PLC systems (programming & fault finding). Experience working with abattoir/slaughter line equipment, conveyors and processing machinery. Knowledge of refrigeration systems and cold room operations. Familiar with motor control centres (MCCs), VSDs/Drives and control panels. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Willingness to work shifts, weekends and standby when required. Own reliable transport. Key responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on all electrical and automated systems. Conduct advanced fault finding on PLCs, production lines, and processing equipment. Ensure optimal functioning of slaughter line equipment, hoists, conveyors, and cutting machinery. Assist with installation, upgrades and commissioning of new equipment and systems. Ensure compliance with health & safety standards (including food safety requirements) Minimize downtime and support continuous production efficiency.
