Job Title: Electrician Start Date: 2026-08-13 - 2026-09-12 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB003432 Sectors: Maintenance Location: Gauteng , Springs Salary: (Market related) Employment Equity: NON-EE Brief: The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, repair and servicing of electrical systems, equipment and machinery. The successful candidate must ensure that all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant electrical regulations and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, machinery and systems. Conduct electrical fault-finding and diagnose electrical problems. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems. Test electrical installations and equipment to ensure safe operation. Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams and technical specifications. Carry out electrical installations for new equipment and facilities. Maintain and repair motors, control panels, switches, breakers and distribution boards. Conduct inspections and identify potential electrical hazards. Ensure compliance with health, safety and electrical regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and inspections. Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies. Work closely with maintenance and technical teams to minimise equipment downtime. Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained in good condition. Follow company procedures and all relevant safety protocols. Detail: Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification. Electrical Trade Test Certificate is essential. Wireman's Licence / Electrical Installation Regulations certification will be advantageous. Minimum 2–5 years' experience as a qualified electrician. Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mining or commercial environment will be advantageous. Valid driver's licence preferred. Technical Skills Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. Good knowledge of electrical installations and maintenance. Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of motors, control panels, DB boards, PLCs and electrical control systems. Good understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures. Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand tools. Basic computer literacy for maintenance records and reporting. Personal Attributes Strong attention to detail.
