- A leading manufacturing client in the packaging sector is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with dedicated experience in specialized packaging environments who is looking to advance their career with a stable industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, fault-find, and repair electrical machinery and equipment within the production facility.
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize plant downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and automation failures on packaging and extrusion/forming machinery.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize plant efficiency and operational performance.
Requirements
- Trade Tested Electrician Red Seal qualification is essential.
- Direct operational experience in the plastics, packaging, or corrugated packaging industries is a must.
- Strong fault-finding abilities with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and control circuits.
- Proven track record of working safely and effectively in a high-volume manufacturing plant environment.
- Willingness to work shifts or respond to call-outs when necessary.
