Job Functions: •Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop the electrical maintenance team. •Manage employee performance, training, recruitment, and discipline while fostering a high-performance culture.•Liaise daily with Production to ensure optimal engineering support and minimise downtime. •Plan, coordinate, and execute preventative and corrective electrical maintenance activities. •Ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. •Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical faults and breakdowns. •Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including MCCs, VSDs, PLCs, motors, instrumentation, and control systems.•Manage maintenance schedules and work orders to ensure adherence to planned maintenance programmes and production requirements. •Drive continuous improvement, quality enhancement, and energy efficiency initiatives. •Participate in plant improvement projects, equipment installations, and commissioning activities. •Manage contractors and external service providers when required. •Ensure departmental visual performance measures are maintained, updated, and used to drive operational improvements. •Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation in accordance with company procedures and GMP requirements. •Ensure compliance with GMP, GEP, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management standards. •Maintain high housekeeping standards and support a safe working environment. KeyCompetencies: •Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance principles and industrial automation systems. •Working knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation, motors, and electrical control systems. Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. •Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.•Good planning, organising, and prioritisation skills. •Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. •Commitment to GMP, quality assurance, safety, and continuous improvement. •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications & Experience: •Qualified Electrical Artisan•Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal or equivalent).•Minimum N3 Electrical Qualification.•Minimum 5years experience in a manufacturing environment.•At least 2years supervisory or team leadership experience.•Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, FMCG, or API manufacturing environments will ne advantageous.•Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance principles and industrial automation systems.
