Job Title: Electrical Engineer Start Date: 2026-08-14 - 2026-09-13 Vacancy Type: Permanent PE006783 Sectors: Manufacturing Location: Eastern Cape , Ugie Salary: (Market related, Negotiable) Brief: electrical engineer|electrical engineering|gcc|manufacturing Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join their team in Ugie, Eastern Cape Skills electrical engineer electrical engineering gcc manufacturing Detail: Duties: To ensure that all projects and modifications meet required specifications and deadlines by managing projects and modifications, Adjudication of quotes and ensure its compliance with required specifications and OHASA. Maintain engineering standards In order to ensure well organized and successful projects / modifications To become an integral part of any future planning on the site, new technology of present plants and processes by recommending methods that will improve the end product, compiling and submitting reports on suggested improvements. Justify the purchase of best equipment to do the job and determine the life span of electrical equipment and plans for replacement, in order to improve the manufacturing capability of the factory as economical as possible. To understand and own plant classification by checking of existing system, classification of new equipment and reclassification of old equipment when required In order to focus maintenance on more critical equipment and have the correct spares and stock levels. To set test procedures by:- recommending set limits and specifications for all electrical equipment use simple and specialized test methods getting standard test methods from suppliers periodicity checks To perform correct fault finding, comply with company standards, determine the efficiency of equipment comply with OHASA To manage changes to base documentation i.e. manuals, P&ID and all electrical drawings by analyze all change requests, re-engineer documentation on site, replace old documentation, uphold documentation on site To develop maintenance procedure in conjunction with the engineering department by contacting suppliers of relevant equipment and utilizing manuals, P&ID and engineering documentation and checking existing maintenance procedures To perform root cause analysis by:- understanding the design basis of the equipment optimizing the energy consumption of the plant. analyzing all electrical stoppages look at history and statistics analize sourses of pollution control electrical maintenance cost To work safely and promote on the job safety by: Adherent to all Health and safety regulations and procedures Advising all managers of the requirements of OHASA pertaining to their departments To perform after-hour standby duty on the plant. Minimum requirements: Grade 12 Sc. Or BTech Electrical Engineering Government Certificate of Competency or a trade will be advantageous Computer literate Minimum 5 years' experience related to Electrical and project engineering specifically related to factories.
