Job Description

  • A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its team in Durbanville on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and infrastructure projects, particularly electrical reticulation, to become part of a collaborative and technically driven environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical engineering projects while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical engineering solutions for infrastructure and development projects.
  • Prepare technical designs, specifications, calculations, and engineering reports.
  • Design and coordinate electrical reticulation systems.
  • Produce and review engineering drawings and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable South African standards and client specifications.
  • Manage project deliverables within programme and budget requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years' relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience in electrical reticulation will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering design principles and infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
