Job Title: Electrical Draughtman Start Date: 2026-08-11 - 2026-09-10 Vacancy Type: Permanent DUR000452 Sectors: Engineering and Technical Location: KwaZulu-Natal , Durban Salary: R 20000 - R 25000 Monthly Cost To Company Brief: autocad|draughtsman|electrical|modeler|revit A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Draughtsman to join its Building Services team in Riverhorse Valley, Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality electrical drawings (AutoCAD and Revit) for a variety of building services projects. Detail: Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit. Produce electrical layouts for: Lighting and emergency lighting Small power and general power Cable routes and containment Distribution boards and electrical reticulation Fire detection and other electrical services, where applicable Prepare schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams and detailed construction drawings. Update drawings and models in accordance with engineer and client comments. Coordinate electrical services with architectural, structural and other building services disciplines. Ensure drawings and models comply with company standards, project requirements and relevant drafting conventions. Assist engineers and project teams with the preparation of tender and construction documentation. Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control requirements. Attend coordination meetings when required. Requirements: Relevant qualification in Electrical Draughting, CAD, Revit Engineering Drawing or a related field. Approximately 3–5 years' experience in electrical draughting. Previous experience working on building services projects is essential. Experience within a consulting engineering environment is highly advantageous. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Good working knowledge and practical experience using Revit. Understanding of electrical building services systems and drawings. Ability to interpret engineering designs, sketches and specifications.
