Electrical Design Engineer

This exciting opportunity offers exposure to complex engineering projects where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, production-ready solutions. Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description

• Design and develop electrical systems and wiring solutions for complex engineering projects

• Create 3D wiring designs, electrical schematics, and harness drawings

• Perform electrical component integration and system design activities

• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and associated engineering documentation

• Manage engineering data and maintain design information within product data management systems

• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry regulations, and engineering standards

• Conduct concept reviews, design reviews, and engineering evaluations

• Liaise with suppliers regarding electrical components and design requirements

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle

• Evaluate project scope, manage timelines, and support successful project delivery

• Design with manufacturability, serviceability, and cost-effectiveness in mind

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Electrical Design Engineering role

• Experience in electrical system design and integration

• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring systems, and harness design

• Experience with 3D CAD software; Siemens NX experience will be advantageous

• Experience with schematic design software such as Mentor Graphics Vesys will be advantageous

• Knowledge of product data management (PDM) systems

• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience applying modern digital engineering tools and technologies will be advantageous

Qualification

• BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
