About the Role

Our client is looking for an ED/BEE Analyst to support the delivery and monitoring of Economic Development (ED) and B-BBEE obligations across a portfolio of renewable energy projects.

Reporting to the ED/BEE Strategy Specialist, this role is suited to an analytical and detail-oriented professional with experience in B-BBEE consulting, SANAS verification, Economic Development, or renewable energy compliance.

You will play an important role in collecting and analysing compliance data, supporting contractor engagement, preparing reports and governance packs, and identifying opportunities to strengthen ED/BEE performance across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, analyse and validate ED/BEE compliance data covering ownership, management control, employment equity, skills development, enterprise and supplier development.

Monitor project-specific Economic Development obligations and identify reporting gaps or deviations.

Engage with material contractors to gather information and support ED assessments.

Assist contractors with data collection, governance and compliance requirements.

Support the implementation of strategies to improve contractor ED/BEE scorecard performance.

Maintain accurate and well-organised compliance records and supporting documentation.

Assist with the development and implementation of ED/BEE strategies and action plans.

Prepare reports, presentations, business cases and governance packs for senior management, project boards and shareholder forums.

Research relevant legislation, policy developments, industry trends and market intelligence.

Support assessments of commercial transactions, bids, acquisitions and new projects from an ED/BEE perspective.

Identify emerging compliance risks, opportunities and areas for value creation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of ED/BEE reporting processes and systems.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Law or a related field.

1–3 years’ relevant experience in B-BBEE Consulting, a SANAS Verification Agency, Economic Development or a similar environment.

Experience within the renewable energy sector is essential/preferred.

Working knowledge of B-BBEE legislation, Codes of Good Practice and relevant Sector Charters.

Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent attention to detail and report-writing skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

Experience with Power BI and/or data system
