This is not a remote working position and standard working hours from the office in Woodstock, Cape Town will apply.
The Position: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly organized and detail-oriented E-Commerce Administration Assistant to support the daily operations of our Online Department. The successful candidate will assist the Department Manager in managing various online marketplaces and websites while ensuring efficient administrative processes, excellent customer service and smooth order fulfillment across multiple e-commerce platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day administration and customer support functions across company’s online platforms and marketplaces, including but not limited to:
- Takealot Marketplace
- Leroy Merlin Marketplace
- Loot Marketplace
- Makro Marketplace
- Amazon Marketplace
- eBay
- Create, update and maintain online product listings across various marketplace platforms
- Resolve failed product listings and ensure all marketplace content is accurate and up to date
- Ensure website product information, including descriptions, images, dimensions, and specifications, is complete and accurate
- Process promotional and deal sheets when products are featured on special offers
- Monitor and ensure orders are processed, shipped, and scheduled for delivery within required timelines
- Process replenishment orders for Takealot Marketplace
- Monitor the Takealot Seller Portal throughout the day for lead-time requirements and drop-shipment orders
- Create Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) for Takealot
- Download product labels for Takealot product rework initiatives
- Allocate shipments to courier partners and coordinate delivery bookings
- Notify customers when their orders are ready for collection
- Prepare load sheets and related shipping documentation
- Respond to customer queries and provide support through:
- Telephone
- Tawk Chat
- Process quotations for private customers
- Assist with customer order tracking and delivery-related enquiries
- Submit stock availability files to customers and marketplaces as required
- Download monthly sales reconciliations for the Debtors Department
- Reconcile the Loot Marketplace account
- Manage courier accounts and reconcile courier-related charges
- Provide returns information to the Returns Department for Loot Marketplace returns and Takealot removal orders
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
- Completed Matric
- Completed a related Degree qualification – essential
- 2+ years e-commerce and Merchandising experience within a Manufacturing environment
- Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced business environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Experience in e-commerce, online merchandising, online marketplaces, or customer support environments.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Takealot Marketplace, Amazon Marketplace, Shopify or other content management systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and work with data
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong administrative and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Package & Remuneration
The Package : We’re looking for a skilled eCommerce Administrator to be office based in Woodstock, Cape Town. The pay range on offer is R8 000.00 to R10 000.00 (Negotiable) Package Per Month.
