A leading engineering and project execution company specialising in process plants, mining, minerals processing, and industrial infrastructure is seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer to join their team. Duties & Responsibilities
Education
- BEng Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Instrumentation Engineering
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Experience in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineering within mining, mineral processing, and industrial plants
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA and DCS systems
- Experience with MCCs, VSDs, instrumentation and control system integration
- Project execution and commissioning experience
- Ability to develop engineering standards and specifications
Duties
- Design and develop electrical, control and instrumentation systems for mineral processing plants and industrial facilities.
- Produce electrical designs, cable schedules, instrument indexes and control philosophies.
- Develop PLC and SCADA functional specifications and oversee software integration activities.
- Conduct instrument selection, sizing and specification for process control applications.
- Manage project execution from concept design through detailed engineering and commissioning.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform site inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting of plant control systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements and client specifications.
- Support plant optimisation initiatives through automation and process improvement projects.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
