Dynamic Sales Assistant | Fashion store | IRENE PRETORIA - must be able to drive sales

Introduction

Seeking a boutique sales assistant with a  passion for clothes & a flair for fashion and accessories  .

You need to be   very dynamic, warm, friendly personality  who knows how to deal with an upmarket clientele &  happy with retail store hours .

The candidate mist be someone who can shake things up a bit, drive sales and bring positive change and momentum to the store , a strong personality. Excellent English and verbal ability is essential.

They want someone with a good energy and presence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome and engage customers in a warm, professional manner.

• Build rapport with clients and provide a personalised shopping experience.

• Offer styling advice on clothing, accessories, and outfit combinations.

• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.

• Upsell and cross-sell complementary items to increase basket value.

• Develop and maintain relationships with regular clients.

• Handle customer queries, exchanges, and complaints professionally.

Point of Sale & Transactions

• Process sales accurately through the point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Operate credit and debit card machines confidently.

• Handle cash transactions where applicable.

• Process gift cards, vouchers, and refunds according to company policy.

• Ensure all sales documentation and receipts are completed correctly.

• Assist with daily cash-up procedures.

Visual Merchandising

• Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and in line with brand standards.

• Replenish stock on the sales floor.

• Create appealing outfit displays and mannequin styling.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and luxurious store appearance.

• Monitor stock presentation and report merchandising needs.

Stock Control

• Receive, unpack, and price new stock.

• Conduct stock counts and stocktakes.

• Assist with inventory management and stock transfers.

• Monitor stock levels and report fast-moving or low-stock items.

• Ensure stockrooms remain neat and organised.

Store Operations

• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the store.

• Ensure fitting rooms are clean and organised.

• Follow security and loss-prevention procedures.

• Assist management with administrative tasks and reporting when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Previous experience in fashion retail, luxury retail, or an upmarket boutique environment.

• Passion for fashion, styling, and current trends.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Well-groomed, polished, and professionally presented.

• Confident engaging with discerning clientele.

• Strong sales ability with a proven track record of meeting targets.

• Patient, attentive, and service-oriented.

• Comfortable working retail hours, weekends, and public holidays.

• Computer literate and confident using POS systems and card machines.

• Energetic, positive, and able to create a welcoming atmosphere.
