DTP Prepress Operator – Flexo & Digital Our client specializes in self-adhesive signage and personalized consumer products. They are looking for a DTP Prepress Operator to join their team in Muizenberg, Cape Town. Requirements: - Matriculation certificate and DTP certification - Minimum 1 year prepress experience - Conversant with Adobe CC Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop - Understand DTP software packages - Effective and professional communication skills - Advantageous – Flexo prepress - Must have a good general background of the printing trade - Must know about Digital Printing. Duties : - Preparing electronic files for the production of flexographic plates and cutters for label production - Preparing electronic files for the production of signage print and cut files for digital machines - Preparing internal printing/publishing requirements - Preparing clients’ artwork for proofs and for production of various types of labels by Digital and Flexo processes - Producing and updating customer designs - Understanding and setting up of artwork by following technical specifications and client requirements - Assisting operators with machine troubleshooting and technical support for digital and flexographic printing Skills: - Proactive and assertive - Ability to work within a team - High attention to detail and accuracy - Adaptability - Ability to continuously learn - Ability to take responsibility and accountability
